Struggling to move past a traumatic experience? Feeling trapped by anxiety, painful memories, addiction, or patterns that seem difficult to change? Marjorie Elkins is a Trauma, EMDR, and Addiction Specialist with more than 20 years of experience helping adults overcome the effects of trauma, substance use disorders, anxiety, and other life challenges.
She is passionate about helping clients heal from the past, develop healthier coping strategies, and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives. As one of the practice’s trauma specialists, Marjorie works with individuals seeking help for trauma, PTSD, substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, OCD, bipolar disorder, and other emotional and behavioral challenges.
Many clients seek Marjorie’s services after years of trying to manage trauma, addiction, or anxiety on their own without achieving the lasting relief they desire. She has extensive experience working with first responders, survivors of human trafficking, and individuals whose past experiences continue to impact their relationships, self-esteem, and daily functioning.
Marjorie is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based treatment that helps clients process traumatic experiences, reduce emotional distress, and move beyond the lingering effects of painful memories. She understands that trauma can affect every aspect of a person’s life and works collaboratively with clients to restore a sense of safety, confidence, and hope.
In addition to her trauma and addiction expertise, Marjorie is a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist. This advanced training provides additional therapeutic tools to help clients manage anxiety, stress, trauma-related symptoms, and unwanted behaviors. Clients appreciate Marjorie’s depth of experience, steady presence, and compassionate approach to treatment.
She offers both in-person appointments in Houston and virtual therapy throughout Texas and welcomes adults seeking experienced, evidence-based care for trauma, addiction, and other mental health concerns.
